Natural Antibiotics Help Ward Off Infections Print
Physicians are quick to prescribe antibiotic drugs for a wide range of illnesses including nearly any kind of infection or inflammation.  But recently, many patients have begun to question whether antibiotics are always the way to go.  The arrival of bacteria that have adapted to traditional medicines is one factor: for some, antibiotics can eventually stop being effective treatments. There are also side effects for many patients taking the drugs.

One answer is in natural remedies that people have used for many centuries to fight viruses and infections.  “Natural Antibiotics” replace stringent chemical concoctions in the form of pills with foods that include anti-biotic ingredients.

For getting antibiotic treatment without pills, garlic is at the top of the list as a reasonable alternative.  Garlic has all kinds of health properties, including natural antibiotics elements, that have gone overlooked by a lot of people because of a stigma around the smell of the plant.  The drawback to using garlic is that to get the best of its health effects, it has to be taken raw, not cooked in food as so many of us would prefer.  But for those who can stomach its pungent aroma, garlic can alleviate viruses like the common cold or an infection by giving the body a natural boost.

Other elements like Echinacea and green tea can also work as natural antibiotics.  Homeopathic healers blend traditional herbs, roots, and other elements into natural “concoctions” that can work wonders on illnesses that you’ll only get pills for when you go to a ‘regular doctor’.  Though a natural treatment can be slower to control a virus or infection, a little patience can lead to success in treating the body effectively without the strong antibiotic medicines that some have come to fear.
