Protecting the depletion of the Amazon Rain Forrest is an interest that has sparked great activism across the globe.  Groups touring the Rain Forrest on expeditions and doing research and learning about more ways the Amazon is beneficial are great in number.  All of this is done because the Amazon is such an important land mass body to the atmosphere of the Earth. In addition, the Amazon is a rich body of environmental riches, from new species to medicines that can cure diseases that currently do not have any hopes of cures.  Protecting the Amazon is the "hot button" topic among many environmentalists.
